Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

  • App refers to Vidopick, available on mobile devices, tablets, and smart TVs including Google TV via the Google Play Store and App Store.
  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”) refers to Vidopick.
  • Device means any device that can access the Service such as a smartphone, tablet, or smart TV.
  • Service refers to the App and the Website.
  • Terms mean these Terms and Conditions.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the legal entity on whose behalf that individual is using the Service.

Acknowledgment

By using Vidopick, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service. Use of parental controls and password protection features is strongly encouraged for parents or guardians.

These Terms also incorporate our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect and use data.

Use of YouTube Content

Vidopick allows users to add and play publicly available or unlisted YouTube playlists. By using this functionality, you acknowledge that:

  • All video content is streamed directly from YouTube.
  • We do not host or store any video content.
  • Use of YouTube content is subject to YouTube’s Terms of Service and API policies.

Parental Controls

Vidopick includes optional parental control features designed to restrict access to video interfaces, YouTube app deep-links, and other potentially unapproved content. While we strive to provide tools for safe viewing, ultimate responsibility lies with the user for configuring these features appropriately.

Account Integration

If you sign in with your YouTube (Google) account, we only use that connection to ensure ad-free playback if you’re a YouTube Premium user. We do not store your login credentials or access your private account data.

Updates and Notifications

We may notify you through the app if a new version is available. Keeping your app up to date ensures optimal performance and security.

Crash Reporting

We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports in order to improve app stability. No personal or identifiable information is collected or stored.

Data Usage & Storage

Vidopick does not store or share any personal user data. All playlist information is stored locally on your device.

Please note that certain app modules (e.g. for crash reporting or OTA updates) may transmit anonymous telemetry. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you’ve violated these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: lost profits, lost data, or device malfunction resulting from your use of the Service.

“AS IS” Disclaimer

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.

Disputes Resolution

If you have any concerns or disputes, please reach out to us first. We will do our best to resolve any issues informally.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If the changes are material, we will notify you within the app or on the website. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
